SEGA have released the PC system requirements for Like a Dragon: Ishin!

The newest game from Yakuza creator Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is Like a Dragon: Ishin!, a spin-off from the Yakuza series that is set in 1860s Japan. The game is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on February 21st 2023, and on Steam the game has a release time of 3 PM GMT. 

For those who are unaware, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has rebranded the Yakuza series in the west to Like a Dragon, a translation of the Japanese series name Ryu ga Gotoku. This rebrand starts with Like a Dragon: Ishin!, which is a remake of a formerly Japanese-only Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!, which released in 2014 for PS3 and PS4. The game’s remake is releasing in both inside and outside of Japan and is being built using Unreal Engine 4.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is the first game in the series to be built using Unreal Engine. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio appears to be finished with their Dragon Engine, the engine behind Yakuza 6, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Judgment, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Lost Judgment.

On PC, Like a Dragon: Ishin! has system requirements that are much higher than Yakuza: Like A Dragon on the GPU side. Ishin recommends Nvidia’s RTX 2060 and AMD’s RX Vega 56, whereas Yakuza: Like a Dragon calls for an GTX 1060 3GB or an RX 580. CPU-wise, Like a Dragon: Ishin! appears to be less demanding than Yakuza: Like a Dragon, recommending lower-end AMD and Intel CPUs.

The good news is that most PC gamers should be able to run Like a Dragon Ishin! at 1080p 60 FPS or above, assuming that they have a relatively modern gaming system.
