Is your PC ready for The Callisto Protocol?

Here are The Callisto Protocol’s PC system requirements

The Callisto Protocol is one of 2022’s most highly anticipated games, and its launch is now less than a week away. ow, Striking Distance Studios have revealed the official PC system requirements for their sci-fi survival horror game, letting PC gamers know what kind of hardware they will need to run the game.

Sadly, Striking Distance Studios and Krafton have not revealed framerate targets or resolution targets alongside their PC system requirements for The Callisto Protocol, though we can expect the game’s PC version to feature support for AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 technology and Ray tracing on day-1. AMD is Krafton’s hardware partner for The Callisto Protocol, so we can expect this game to run well on Radeon graphics cards and Ryzen processors.

What should be noted is that the recommended hardware below is not ray tracing compatible, confirming that The Callisto Protocol does not require ray tracing hardware to run. We can also note that SSD storage is recommended, like with many modern AAA game releases. The Callisto Protocol’s Steam page has also confirmed that the game will utilise Denuvo on PC.

In this narrative-driven, third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future, the player will take on the role of Jacob Lee – a victim of fate thrown into Black Iron Prison, a maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter’s moon, Callisto. When inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, the prison is thrown into chaos. To survive, Jacob must battle his way to safety to escape Black Iron Prison, while uncovering the dark and disturbing secrets buried beneath the surface of Callisto. Using a unique blend of shooting and close-quarters combat, Jacob will need to adapt his tactics to combat the rapidly evolving creatures while scavenging to unlock new weapons, gear, and abilities to outrun the growing threat and escape the horrors of Jupiter’s Dead Moon.

CPU-wise, The Callisto Protocol requires a strong 6-core processor or better, with AMD’s Ryzen 5 2600 and Intel’s i5-8400 processors being set as the game’s minimum system requirements. Higher-end processors like AMD’s Ryzen 5 3600 and Intel’s i7-8700 are recommended.

Moving onto GPUs, Krafton and Striking Distance Studios have listing AMD’s Radeon RX 580 and Nvidia’s GTX 1060 as the game’s minimum supported graphics cards, and Nvidia’s GTX 1070 and AMD’s RX 5700 as the game’s recommended graphics cards. The game’s system requirements below also confirm that The Callisto Protocol has both a DirectX 11 and a DirectX 12 runtime.
