It looks like Naughty Dog plans to Remaster The Last of Us Part 2
Is a PC version incoming? Job listing hints at The Last of Us Part 2 Remaster plans
It looks like Naughty Dog are planning to released a remastered version of The last of Us Part 2. The studio’s Lead Outsource Artist has updated their job listing on LinkedIn to state that they have worked on The Last of Us: Part One, and the Last of Us 2: Remastered. This suggests than an native PlayStation 5 version, and perhaps a PC version, of The Last of Us Part II is in the works.
Currently, The Last of Us Part 2 is available on PlayStation 5 though PlayStation 4 backwards compatibility. This allows PlayStation 5 players to play the original PS4 version of The Last of Us Part 2 with some enhancements. On PlayStation 5, The Last of Us Part II now runs at 60 FPS. The original PS4 and PS4 Pro versions of the game ran at 30 FPS. This increases the fluidity of the game on PlayStation 5. On top of that, 60 FPS also delivers reduced input latency to improve the game’s controls and responsiveness.
At this time, it is unknown what additional enhancements The Last of Us Part II’s remastered edition could deliver. Perhaps the game will feature enhanced visuals or run at a higher resolution. Alternatively, the game will feature some for of additional content.

Right now, we feel that The Last of Us Part II will receive the same treatment as Sony’s Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Sony will likely first ship a remastered version of The Last of Us Part 2 on PlayStation 5? At a later date, we expect Sony to then launch the game on PC, probably a few months later.
