It’s official, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is coming to PC

Death Stranding 2 is coming to PC this year

PlayStation Studios has announced that Death Stranding 2 is coming to PC on March 19th, with Kojima Productions and Nixxes Software working on the new version. On PC, Death Stranding will gain support for new graphical settings, modern upscaling, frame generation, and more. The game will also support 32:9 gameplay and 21:9 cutscenes, which is great news for users of ultra-wide displays.

At launch, Death Stranding 2 will support XeSS, FSR, and DLSS Upscaling and Frame Generation. This will enable PC gamers to enjoy crisp visuals and ultra-high frame rates. The game will also feature an unlocked framerate, allowing the PC version to surpass PlayStation 5 when played on powerful hardware.

In this standalone sequel, step back into Sam’s boots as he takes on a new adventure to connect Australia to the Chiral network. Beset on all sides by enemies, Sam will have to shoot, sneak, and sprint his way out of trouble, as well as survive natural disasters such as earthquakes, sandstorms and forest fires, and brave the ruinous Timefall as he strives to save humanity from extinction once again. The Social Strand System returns, connecting players from around the globe allowing you to shape someone else’s world, and have their actions shape yours.

– Kojima Productions

Alongside the game’s PC version, Kojima Productions has confirmed that Death Stranding 2 will receive “new modes and features” on both PC and PlayStation 5. Note that details for this new content will be revealed next month.

On PC, gamers can expect full mouse/keyboard controls and gamepad support. Sony DualSense support is available, alongside 3D Audio via Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, or Windows Sonic for Headphones. On PC, the game is currently available for pre-order on Steam for £69.99.
