It’s official, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is coming to PC

During Microsoft’s first Xbox 20/20 stream, it was announced that Yakuza: Like A Dragon would be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows PC, officially confirming that the game was headed for PC.

Earlier this week, a SteamDB listing revealed that a page for Yakuza: Like a Dragon was being prepared by SEGA, seemingly confirming the eight entry in the Yakuza series will be coming to the PC platform. Now this information has been confirmed, making it only a matter of time before the game’s Steam page goes live.

Sadly, an exact release date for Yakuza: Like a Dragon hasn’t been revealed, though the game “will be available as part of the Xbox Series X launch slate, as well as on Xbox One and Windows 10.” Right now, the game is due to release in the west later this year on Sony’s PlayStation 4, making it possible that the game will release competing hardware during the same timeframe. The game is already available in Japan on PlayStation 4.

At the time of writing, the store page for Yakuza: Like a Dragon is not live on Steam, though given the recent PC releases of Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, PC releases of future Yakuza games seem likely.

Unlike other entries in the Yakuza series, Like A Dragon moves away from the franchise’s real-time battle system towards turn-based RPG-style combat with a  4-person team, changing how a lot of the game plays. Gamers can expect the same amount of side-content and sub-stories as other Yakuza titles. Below is the latest trailer for Yakuza: Like A Dragon, which was showcased at Xbox 20/20 earlier today.
