Kingmakers is entering Steam Early Access on October 8th
Get ready to change history this October
TinyBuild have announced that Kingmakers will be coming to PC on October 8th through Early Access. At launch, the game will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Currently, the game’s price is unknown.
Kingmakers is a game that brings players 500 years into the past, bringing modern weapons into a Medieval conflict. Players must change the outcomes of medieval wars to change the future and avert the apocalypse. To do this, players will be fighting knights with machine guns, destroying trebuchets with RPGs, and charging through cavalry with tanks. While players will be able to participate in battles on foot, players can zoom out to issue orders to their allied troops, changing the game into an RTS.
With co-op support, players will be able to join battles with their friends. This adds more mayhem to the fray, as what medieval battle wouldn’t benefit from more guns and explosives?

While Kingmakers is a crazy game idea, the tech behind it is fascinating. The game will feature thousands of soldiers on screen, and this achievement requires a “next-gen, multi-threaded AI” to control troop pathfinding, decision-making, and more. This makes Kingmakers a technological showcase, not just a fun game idea.
