Little King’s Story has received an official patch from Durante
Â
Little King’s Story has received what can be best described as a MEGAPATCH, an official patch that has been forged by Peter Thoman, a modder that is better known as “Durante”.Â
Â
Durante has a particular set of skills, fixing PC ports, being most famous for creating mods for games like Dark Souls which fixed several aspects of the game’s PC version. Today XSEED games has announced that they have been working with Durante to improve several aspects of the PC version of Little King’s Story, a popular title from the Wii and PSP which sadly released with a sub-par PC port back in August 2016.Â
Â
In this MEGAPATCH, Durante addressed several of the CPU-based performance issues in the game, drastically increasing game performance, as well as work to allow the game’s simulation speeds to function well at a steady 60 FPS. This new patch also adds MSAA and SSAA to the game as well as Anisotropic Filtering option. Â
Â
Â
Â
 Â
A lengthy blog explaining some of the changes to the game is available to read on XSEED’s website, detailing many of the changes that have been made in the game. Below are the game’s official patch notes for the “official Durante Patch”.Â
Â
Patch notes 2/2/17
Â
– A variety of optimizations for overall performance improvements.
– Implemented analog controls for Xinput-compatible gamepads.Â
– Improved 60 FPS mode by fixing simulation time progression rate, speed of many effects and object animations, and the movement speed of NPCs and animals. However, some scripted movements during boss battles might still be sped up or broken, so added a workaround where you can press âF1â to enable a temporary 30 FPS lock in 60 FPS mode.
– Replaced the game launcher with a new version with many usability improvements.
– Fixed save game playtime being calculated incorrectly.
Â
Â
For the next week, Little King’s Story will be available with a 40% price reduction, reducing the game from £18.99 in the UK to £11.39.
