Mafia III's framerate unlocking patch is now live

Mafia III's patch 1.01 is now live, adding unlocked framerate options to the PC version of the game as well as adding enhanced keyboard control remapping options.

This new patch will allow PC players to play the game at 30, 60 and unlimited framerates, with all these options included in the in-game graphical options menu.

Hanger 13 plans to continue improving the PC version of the game in the future, but at least for now framerate junkies can look forward to playing this game with faster response times and clearer animations.

We plan on testing Mafia III with this new performance unlocking patch later today, so you can look forward to a detailed PC performance report sometime tomorrow.

I will, It wouldn't be fair not to give this game a second chance. Hopefully I will have something ready for tomorrow.Quote

It would have made so much more sense to just delay the PC version like GTA 5. Sure it was annoying, but at the end we got an excellent port that was lightyears ahead of the console versions.

Then, more people would have bought it on its release at the higher price rather than now waiting for a few months until the Christmas sale price when everything has been fixed. Either way it would have been the same amount of work for the devs, but this way, there would have been far less backlash and would have made more money by being able to sell the PC version at a higher price.Quote

Excellent

I've read a couple of reviews now (well, skimmed to the score) and it's not doing too badly with scores of around 8, or 80%. IIRC that's what Mafia 2 scored so I do want it Quote
