Marvel’s Wolverine is coming to PlayStation 5 in Fall 2026
Marvel’s Wolverine is coming to PlayStation consoles next year
Sony PlayStation and Insomniac Games have confirmed that Marvel’s Wolverine will be coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro in late 2026. The game is “much darker and brutal” than Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man series, as is fitting for a game where metal claws are your primary weapon.
So far, there is no mention of a PC version of Marvel’s Wolverine. However, it is now commonplace for Sony’s PlayStation games to come to PC. This is especially true for Insomniac Games titles. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, two PS5 games developed by Insomniac, are now available for PC. Why would Wolverine be any different?
Become a living weapon. As he searches for answers about his past, Wolverine will do whatever it takes – unleashing brutal claw combat, violent rage, and relentless determination – to cut through the mystery of the man he used to be.
From Insomniac Games, the developers of the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, comes Marvel’s Wolverine, an all-new take on an iconic character based on Marvel Comics. Developed in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel’s Wolverine coming to PlayStation 5 consoles Fall 2026.
– Sony
Sony claims that Marvel’s Wolverine was “built from the ground up” for PlayStation 5. As such, the game will not be launching on PlayStation 4. This will not be the first Insomniac game to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, as Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are both PS5 console exclusives. The last cross-platform game from Insomniac was Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which launched in 2020.
