MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is now an Epic Games Store exclusive

Piranha Games has announced that MechWarrior 5 has been delayed from September 2019 to December 10th, citing issues of game quality and the game's original "overcrowded" release date. 

Alongside this announcement, it has also been confirmed that MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will release as an Epic Games Store exclusive. Piranha Games has stated that their partnership with Epic Gameshas enabled the game's delay and will allow the company to "properly localise" the game and release it with a "significant marketing effort", both of which will help increase game sales. 

Existing pre-orders for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries were made under the assumption that the game would release on Steam. As such, Piranha has confirmed that all pre-orders of the game can be refunded upon request and that the game will now be delivered as an Epic Games Store key. MechWarrior 5 will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for one year.
