Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater receives its first in-engine trailer

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater uses Unreal Engine 5

Konami has released their first in-engine trailer for their upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake, Metal Gear Solid: Delta Snake Eater. Unreal Engine 5 is the engine behind Snake Eaters’ remake. Konami also reconfirmed the game will be coming to PC and current generation consoles. Based on the trailer, the game is visually impressive. That said, this is early footage of the game, so its visuals can change before the game launches.

Metal Gear Solid: Delta Snake Eater is a faithful recreation of the original PS2-era game. The game will feature the same core game design and original story, but will feature enhanced gameplay and visuals. Since the game is using Unreal Engine 5, we can assume that Konami’s Fox Engine is no longer in development. Konami used their Fox engine to create Metal Gear Solid 5, and Metal Gear Survive.

In Snake Eater, players will be tasked with outsmarting their enemies. Gamers will need to use camouflage and the terrain to their advantage. Close quarters combat, interrogation, climbing, hunting, and injury treatment are all elements of the game, and stealth is paramount. If players are not careful, natural predators and other threads can quickly overwhelm them.

Sadly, Konami’s Snake Eater remake has no firm release date. The game will be coming to PC through Steam, and to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There are currently no plans to bring Snake Eater’s remake to other platforms. No last-generation console versions of the game are planned.

Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1 is now available on PC and other platforms. Rumour has it that a Volume 2 collection is in the works, which will bring Metal Gear Solid 4 to PC and modern consoles.
