Microsoft Advanced Shader Delivery is coming to “All RTX GPUs”
Advanced Shader Delivery is coming to “All RTX GPUs” this month
When Microsoft launched Advanced Shader Delivery, it was exclusive to AMD Radeon GPUs, RDNA-based GPUs specifically. This month, Microsoft confirmed that Advanced Shader Delivery will come to Nvidia GPUs, supporting “all RTX GPUs” and Nvidia’s RTX Spark hardware.
With Advanced Shader Delivery, supported games and hardware will receive precompiled shaders in the Xbox App. This can reduce shader compilation times by 95%, allowing players to get into their games faster. This feature can also reduce shader compilation stutter in games.
Gears of War: E-Day will be the first game to support Advanced Shader Delivery on Windows 11 devices with AMD, Intel, Nvidia, and Qualcomm GPUs. Support for Modern Warfare 4 and other future titles is still to come.
Intel GPU support is also coming
Alongside all RTX GPUs and RTX Spark, Advanced Shader Delivery is coming to Intel GPUs. However, Intel support will be limited to Intel ARC B-series discrete GPUs (ARC B570 and ARC B580), and the integrated graphics for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 and Core Ultra Series 3 CPUs.
(Precompiled shaders can save a lot of time)
With Advanced Shader Delivery, Microsoft is helping gamers get into their games faster and helping to reduce instances of shader compilation stutter in games. Note that gamers will need the Xbox PC App to experience Advanced Shader Delivery for themselves. More information about supported Advanced Shader Delivery titles is available here.
