Microsoft brings FPS Boost to 13 EA Games on Xbox Series X/S

Microsoft’s FPS Boost feature is a gamechanger for backwards compatibility on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, allowing games from older Xbox console generations to be played at higher framerates on Microsoft’s newest systems.

With FPS Boost, Microsoft is giving classic Xbox titles a free next-generation upgrade, with the latest additions to the FPS Boost family being 13 titles from EA. Many of these games have been boosted to 120 FPS on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S systems, though it is worth noting that many of these FPS Boost upgrades are Xbox Series X exclusive.

Microsoft is pushing console gaming into the 120Hz era, acting as an optional feature that can enable higher framerates, lower response times and smoother visuals. Below is a list of Microsoft’s latest FPS Boost titles and their new FPS targets on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

– Battlefield 1 (120Hz on Series X, Unavailable on Xbox Series S)
– Battlefield 4 (120Hz on Series X and S)
– Battlefield 5 (120Hz on Series X, Unavailable on Xbox Series S)
– Mirror’s Edge Catalyst (120Hz on Series X, Unavailable on Xbox Series S)
– Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare (120Hz on Series X and S)
– Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (120Hz on Series X and S)
– Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 (120Hz on Series X and S)
– Sea of Solitude (60Hz on Series X and S)
– Star Wars Battlefront (120Hz on Series X and S)
– Star Wars Battlefront 2 (120Hz on Series X)
– Titanfall (120Hz on Series X, Unavailable on Xbox Series S)
– Titanfall 2 (120Hz on Series X and S)
– Unravel 2 (120Hz on Series X and S)

Right now, FPS Boost is supported on 23 games, enabling smoother gameplay experiences on supported titles. FPS Boost allows these older games to play best on Xbox Series X/S, making FPS Boost a huge boon for the system. Most of Xbox’s FPS Boost titles are also available through Xbox Game Pass, giving Xbox Series X/S owners another reason to try these games out on their systems.
