Microsoft releases a 4K 60 FPS gameplay premiere for Halo: Infinite

 
Microsoft has just released its first gameplay trailer for Halo: Infinite, showcasing a section the game’s campaign at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X. Later this year, the game will release on Xbox One, PC and Xbox Series X. 

The trailer below reveals that a faction called “The Banished” will be the main antagonists of Halo: Infinite and that at least some of the game will take place on a new Halo ring. The game will utilise 343’s Slipspace Engine to deliver a significant graphical leap over previous Halo games on all supported platforms. 

Below, Escharum, a Brute War Chief has been set up as Master Chief’s next foe, a leader who has already defeated the UNSC forces on the Halo ring. 

With Halo Infinite, 343 Industries want to deliver fans of the franchise a “spiritual reboot” for the series, creating a new story and experience which will reward both fans of the franchise and series newcomers alike.
