Microsoft reveals Xbox 20/20, monthly video updates for everything PC, Xbox and Game Pass

2020 is going to be a big year for Microsoft, as all of the company’s “best development teams” are scrambling to release their games on Xbox Series X this holiday season.

All 15 Xbox Game Studios are working on Xbox Series X titles, all of which are also due to launch on Xbox Game Pass and PC. Microsoft has confirmed that the releases of both Halo Infinite and the Xbox Series X are on track, and should be ready for their holiday 2020 launch date.

Over the coming months, Microsoft plans to release monthly Xbox updates as part of their new Xbox 20/20 campaign, starting with this week’s Inside Xbox, which will showcase Xbox Series X gameplay for the first time. This stream will be shown on Mixer, YouTube and Twitch on May 7th at 8 AM PDT, which is 4 PM BST.

During this event, Microsoft will be showcasing several 3rd party Xbox Series X titles, including Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. During this event, Microsoft also plans to reveal games which support Xbox’s Smart Deliver feature, and which games will support Xbox Series X optimisations.

Xbox Series X optimised games can support higher resolution and higher framerates than their Xbox One and Xbox Series X counterparts. Some of these games may even support 4K 120 FPS framerates, as well as faster loading times and other enhancements.

In June, Microsoft plans to showcase its first-party Xbox Series X titles, highlighting the efforts of Xbox Games Studios. Future Xbox 20/20 video updates will also report on the latest PC, Xbox Game Pass and Project xCloud news.
