Middle Earth: Shadow of War Open World Trailer

The latest trailer for Middle Earth: Shadow of war has been released, focusing on a large open world map and that spans from Seregost to Gorgoroth and perhaps farther.

The game will build upon the systems that were introduced in Shadow of Mordor, bringing the game's iconic nemesis system to create unique stories for each player as Talion fights for control of Mordor to overthrow Sauron.

Right now the game is intended to have two "nemesis expansions" and two large story/narrative expansions, with this DLC coming free with the game's Gold Edition.

Shadow of War will also launch with PS4 Pro support and Xbox One Scorpio support while at the same time dropping the PS3 and Xbox 360 support that the original had. This should allow the developers to easily create larger maps and deliver more advanced visuals than were present in Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, which is something that is clearly visible in the trailer below.

Below are the full PC system requirements for the game, requiring a 64-bit OS, a minimum of 8GB of RAM and a minimum of 60GB of storage space. GPU wise the GPU is listed as requiring an HD 7950 or a GTX 670 as a minimum,  with the game recommending a GTX 970 or 1060 for Nvidia users or an R9 290X or an RX 480 for AMD users.

MINIMUM:

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1 with Platform Update for Windows 7
  • Processor: Intel i5-2550K, 3.4 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 670 | Radeon HD 7950
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 60 GB available space

    RECOMMENDED:

  • OS: Windows 10 version 14393.102 or higher required
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 970 or GeForce GTX 1060 | Radeon R9 290X or Radeon RX 480

Middle Earth: Shadow of War will be released on August 22nd on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and the Windows 10 store.

People are so careful when saying they ordered on console these days

I find that alot of AAA titles do work better on console simply because that's what it was designed for. In this case however, I will get it for PC since based on their previous attempt, the gfx were absolutely beautiful and incredibly well optimised. Has to be the only Warner Bros. Title that has been a true success. I'm like you NBD, really stoked and excited about this one.

I still remember the first one, just when I thought the environment exploration was complete, we headed off to a whole new map, blew my mind in how much was available.Quote

All good though. They'll just buy the next two or three games. I'll guilt trip them for as long as possibleQuote
