Minecraft’s Mass Effect pack has finally arrived on PC – It only took five years

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about Mass Effect. In recent years EA and Bioware have had very little to say about the series, especially after the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Bioware’s focus today is on Anthem, rather than their more well-received gaming properties.

Microsoft has today announced that Minecraft’s Mass Effect Mash-Up pack is now available on all platforms, bringing it to PC for the first time. This pack was originally released over five years ago, which means that this pack is focused on Mass Effect 3, offering gamers no references to Andromeda.

While this pack may be new to many gamers, the Minecraft Mass Effect mash-Up is recycled content, which means that this pack isn’t pointing towards any upcoming announcements for the franchise. Even so, it is a great reminder of the franchise’s heyday.

This pack offers gamers 36 character skins, a reworked UI, a new map in the form of the game’s “Mars Base Camp” and a compilation of Mass Effect’s soundtrack. The pack also offers gamers Mass Effect themed textures, which will give your existing worlds a new appearance.

The Mass Effect mash-Up pack is now available for 990 Minecoins.

Replaying Mass Effect?

While we are talking about Mass Effect, we thought that it would be appropriate to mention one of the best PC mods for the series, the “A Lot of Videos” (ALOV) series of modes for Mass Effects 1, 2 and 3.

These mods don’t offer gameplay enhancements or other major changes, just updated cutscenes for modern 1080p, 1440p and 4K screens. With this mod, PC gamers will no longer see their screens filled with blurry 720p footage from the Xbox 360 era, making this mod a must for those who want some of the game’s most climactic scenes look great on modern screens.

We have discussed this mod in further detail here.
