Monster Hunter Wilds April 4th Patch delivers welcome PC improvements

Monster Hunter Wilds’ April 4th patch delivers its first wave of PC improvements

Capcom has just released its April 4th update for Monster Hunter Wilds, which brings new content to the game alongside a ton of bug fixes and balance changes. On PC, this update brings two welcome improvements to the game: lowered VRAM usage and an updated DirectStorage implementation.

With lowered VRAM usage, gamers using GPUs with 8GB of VRAM should have a much better time running the game. Alongside the game’s DirectStorage update, Monster Hunter Wilds should run smoother on PC. Game stability has also improved with this update.

Thanks to this update, players can now enjoy new story elements, side-missions, and other “extra” content. The game now has new monsters to hunt, new armour sets and weapons to build, and a higher upgrade limit for rarity 5 and higher armour sets.

The game’s April update also adds “Arena Quests” and the “Grand Hub” to MH: Wilds. The grand hub can be unlocked by completing a tutorial mission that appears at HR 16.

Further PC improvements are expected for Monster Hunter Wilds with future updates. Note that the game’s director, Yuya Tokuda, said that PC games can “look forward to continued improvements”.
