Mortal Shell has become the Epic Games Store's latest free game
Over the holiday's the Epic Games Store has been giving away a free game every day for a limited time, with today's free game being Cold Symmetry's Mortal Shell, a Soulsborne style game that features melee-focused combat and a unique shell hardening mechanic that allows players to tank hits and complete otherwise impossible combos.
Since the game's launch, the PC version of Mortal Shell has been updated with DLSS support, DirectX 12 support, and Ray traced shadows. When Mortal Shell first launched, the game was exclusive to the Epic Games Store, but now the game is available through both Steam and GOG.
Mortal Shell is a game that offers strong visuals and a combat system that fans of Dark Souls and similar games will find refreshing. The game's four shells also effectively allow gamers to play with four unique combat styles and a lot of potential character builds.
PC gamers can redeem their free copy of Mortal Shell here on the Epic Games Store. The game will be available for free until December 29th at 4 PM GMT, after which a new game will become available for free on the Epic Games Store.
