New Assassin's Creed game will be revealed May 12th

PC Gamers will probably remember the debacle that was Assassin's Creed Unity, which launched last year. The potential was there, but the optimization was so bad that even gamers with the most beefed up systems couldn't handle the game on ultra. The game came paired with a lot of bugs that ruined the experience for most players. You could say the Assassin's Creed franchise hit an all-time low at that point. Now, Ubisoft is here to try again. They just published a teaser trailer announcing that the next installment in the AC-series will be announced on the 12th of May, which is next week.

New Assassin's Creed will be revealed next week

In the teaser trailer, a pair of hands wielding some of the equipment that can be expected in the upcoming game is shown. Alongside the signature hidden blades, which we all have come to love I'm sure, the protagonist(?) is wielding a cane, brass knuckles, and a wrist-mounted cannon. And no, I'm not talking about the wrist-mounted pistol we've seen before. This is actually a miniature cannon.

The game is rumoured to take place in 19th century Victorian London, and would be called 'Assassin's Creed: Victory'. This hasn't been officially announced, but looking at the weaponry (especially that funky-looking cane), we all know where this is going. The game is rumoured to be released this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Let's just hope they make it a decent port this time.

The next Assassin's Creed will be revealed next week on Tuesday, at 5PM UK time. The teaser links to the Assassin's Creed website, so they might reveal the game there. A video has also been scheduled on Ubisoft's YouTube channel. Will you tune in to the reveal? Let us know.

They stated they would stop making it when people are fed up with it. The general consensus is that we are beyond fed up...Quote
