No Man’s Sky gains major graphical upgrades and Nvidia DLSS Support

No Man’s Sky’s update 3.5 has overhauled the game’s visuals, giving the game new graphical features on all platforms and some exclusive add-ons for the game’s PC and next-generation versions.

Update 3.5, also known as Prisms, adds Screen Space Reflections to No Man’s Sky on PC (and soon PC VR), Xbox One X, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. New volumetric effects have also been added to the game, optimising the game’s existing volumetric features while adding support for coloured volumetric lights, and new volumetric lights across the game. Parallax Occlusion mapping has also been added to all platforms, as has refractions (except PS4 VR).

For Nvidia RTX users, update 3.5 also brings support for Deep Learning Super Sampling, a feature that allows Nvidia users to boost their gaming performance using AI upscaling. Within No Man’s Sky’s patch notes, “significant performance and visual quality improvements”  are promised.
