Oblivion Remastered Patch 1.2 should greatly improve the game’s performance
Oblivion Remastered’s new PC update promises boosted performance and fewer stutters
PC gamers on Steam can now access an early version of Microsoft’s Oblivion Remastered 1.2 update, which promises improved framerates, fewer hitches, and fewer framerate drops.
Alongside performance enhancements, update 1.2 delivers improvements to Oblivion’s UI, crash fixes, audio fixes, and quest fixes. Furthermore, the update makes changes to Oblivion’s difficulty system and includes several gameplay enhancements.

Fixed frame rate drops in Black Rock Caverns
Fixed frame rate drop between Skingrad and Skingrad Castle
Fixed frame rate drop south of Bravil Castle courtyard
Reduced the frequency of hitches in the open world.
General improvements to frame time in many locations.
Optimize updating of character attachments.
Optimize rendering of water volumes in the open world.
Optimize light/shadow updates in several lairs.
Optimize waterfall particle FX and rendering.
Optimize the weather system.
Optimize character animation system.
The official release date of Oblivion Remastered update 1.2 is unknown. For now, PC gamers on Steam can access the update through the game’s beta branch.
