Capcom has now officially unveiled Okami HD, which will be releasing on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 12th for £15.99/$19.99.

This new version will support widescreen displays and modern resolutions, with many expecting the game to run on 4K displays with ease on today’s high-end consoles and PC.

It is odd that this game is not receiving a Nintendo Switch release, given the game’s popularity on the Wii and the potential to bring this game to mobile gamers. The Switch is certainly powerful enough for the job, given this game’s origins on PS2.

Rooted in Japanese folklore, Okami has you taking the on the role of Amaterasu, the sun goddess, as she embodies the legendary white wolf Shiranui. Your wolf part can tackle, and use a number of different weapons—you’re a legendary wolf after all—while your goddess side brings to the table divine powers of the Celestial Brush, a powerful way to breathe new life to the world around you.

No PC system requirements have been announced yet for Okami, though they are expected to be low given this game’s origins on the PS2.

The PC version of this game will be releasing on Steam on December 12th, the game has not been announced on any other PC gaming platforms.
