Europa Universalis IV is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store

To say that Europa Universalis IV is a popular strategy game is an understatement. For years it has consistently been one of Steam’s most played games, and right now you grab a copy of it for free on the Epic Games Store.

Europa Universalis IV is a strategy game where players can take control of a nation and play as them over four centuries of history. The game can start at the end of the Medieval era at the opening of the Renaissance, and players can move through the age of revolutions. During this time in history, players will need to contend with the protestant reformation, the scientific revolution, and rapid technological advancement. The world is moving into the early modern era, and players will need to make sure that they can keep up with their rivals and take advantage of the latest advancements and discoveries.

Until August 17th, PC gamers will be able to claim for themselves a free copy of Europe Universalis IV. Sadly, this free promotion does not extend to Europa Universalis’ DLC, though it is recommended that gamers play the base game before adding additional complexity with downloadable content.
