Over 50% of Steam users are now using Windows 10

When looking at Windows-based systems 42.72% of Windows users on Steam have a DirectX 12 ready system, using a Windows 10 OS and a DirectX 12 ready GPU. A further 30.71% of users have a DirectX 12 ready GPU and a Pre-Windows 10 OS like Windows 7, Windows 8.1/8 and Windows Vista.

It is expected that within the next two-three months that Windows 10 64-bit will be adopted by over 50% of Steam users, which is a huge achievement for any modern OS.

I don't know how it was forced (besides the silly updater thingy). DX12 has hardly brought any real improvements as of yet.Quote

I haven't found it any more (or less) annoying than 7. It's fine to cling on to the older systems if it suits as long as you don't complain that they drop product development and updates.Quote
