OVERKILL's The Walking Dead's PC system requirements have been released

OVERKILL's The Walking Dead is one of PC gaming's most highly anticipated PC releases, a 4-player co-op multiplayer FPS that takes gameplay that is somewhat reminiscent of Left 4 Dead while adding unique story elements and aspects from Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead universe.

The game now has a set release date of November 6th in North/South America and on November 8th in the rest of the world on PS4, Xbox One and Steam. In this game, players will band together to take part in missions, raids and other activities, fighting both living and undead opponents to secure supplies, strengthen their base camp to survive by any means necessary.

In a recent Reddit AMA, OVERKILL confirmed that the game would be playable in solo mode or with 2, 3 or 4 players, with difficulty adapting to the game's player count. The game is also based on Unreal Engine 4, though OVERKILL has added a unique lighting system to the game to deliver gamers a unique aesthetic.

The developer has also added PC system requirements to the game's Steam page, though OVERKILL has stressed that these requirements are subject to change. The Walking Dead will be optimised further before the game's launch on all platforms, with Overkill stating that these are the system requirements for the game's current built. These requirements can only go down as the game gets closer to launch.

3.3Ghz i5 or i7... seems very frequency specific, so I'm guessing this is going to be very CPU intensive.Quote
