Overwatch 2's PVP content will be free-to-play
At the 2022 Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, Blizzard has revealed that Overwatch 2 will be entering Early Access on PC and consoles on October 4th. Additionally, the company has also revealed a new hero for the game, Junker Queen. Junker Queen is a high mobility tank that wields a railgun. Lore-wise, she is a former Overwatch Captain, who has appeared within the game's lore a few times already.
Overwatch 2's early access more will feature the game's PvP mode, and this mode will be free-to-play. Owners of Overwatch 1 will receive Overwatch 2's Founders Pack, which will contain two Epic Skins, an exclusive Founders Icon and "a surprise gift".
Overwatch 2's PvE mode will arrive at a later date, and it is unknown how much this mode will cost to play, or how long it will take for this mode to be released. On PC, it is likely that Overwatch 2 will be exclusive to Blizzard's Battle.net launcher, though this has not been confirmed.
