Update 1.3 earns Death Stranding 2 Steam Deck Verification
Nixxes has officially released patch 1.3 for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, adding new optimisations to the game on PC. This update has earned the game Steam Deck verification. Additionally, this update addresses the performance drops that PC gamers experience when using a sniper rifle’s scope.
This update includes several bug fixes and reduces the likelihood of crashes. It has also improved the game’s UI and has fixed some text and localisation issues.
Nixxes has confirmed that it is listening to feedback and aims to further improve Death Stranding 2 on PC.

Patch 1.3 for DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH is out now on PC!
This update addresses frame rate drops that could occur when using a sniper rifle scope. We’ve also implemented additional performance improvements and fixed various bugs and rare crashes based on feedback from the community.

With Patch 1.3, Death Stranding 2 is officially ready for Steam Deck and other PC handhelds. Update 1.2 already delivered major performance improvements on these platforms, but patch 1.3 is the update that has delivered Steam Deck Verified status. Now, users of Valve’s handheld have the promise of a strong gaming experience, despite the low-power nature of mobile gaming hardware. This verification should also come as good news for users of the ROG Xbox Ally and other Windows PC handhelds. After all, most PC gaming handhelds suffer from similar performance limitations.
