Payday 2 is currently available for free on PC through the Epic Games Store

PC gamers now have a chance to grab a free copy of Payday 2, giving gamers a look at the popular co-op game ahead of its sequel’s launch

Payday 2 has become the latest game to become available for free on the Epic Games Store, with PC gamers having until 4 PM (BST) on June 15th to claim the game. 

With Payday 3 launching later this year, this free game promotion on the Epic Games Store is giving PC gamers a free taste of the franchise ahead of the series’ newest game launch.

While the game is almost 12 years old, Payday 2 is still an excellent co-op shooter, allowing teams of players to take part in bank robberies and other heists to earn money, upgrade their gear, gain new skills and take on larger, more lucrative jobs. 

Next week, the Epic Games Store will be making both Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition and Guacamelee! 2 available for free on the Epic Games Store. These games will be available for free for a week starting on June 15th, after which another game will be made available for free on the Epic Games Store.
