PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS has surpassed 2 million concurrent players

In just over a month PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds (PUBG) has significantly increased in popularity, with the game's maximum concurrent player count increasing from 1 million players to just over 2 million players earlier today.
This is a 2x increase in concurrent players, which is higher than the combined player counts of Steam's remaining top 10 games combined, showcasing PUBG's current dominance in the PC gaming scene.

This is a huge achievement for PUBG, especially given the fact that the game is a premium title and is still on Steam's Early Access program. To say the least, the active player count of PUBG is astonishing. PUBG's player count is expected to continue to increase in the near future, especially as new features are added to the game.

I'd say none, because PUBG isn't closely as frustratingly infuriating as LoL or CoD

I'm not surprised by such high numbers. I bought the game as well, just to try it and I was very positively surprised by how much fun it is, especially as a squad of 2 or 3 players. It can be hard and very demanding, but feels rewarding at the same time. If you die, just jump right back in, with a maximum of a minute of waiting between the next skydive.Quote

Try getting sniped when you're in the final circle with only one other player left, and see how you feel

In all seriousness though, I'm not surprised either. Despite all of its obvious problems (unfair bans, poor performance, unreliable servers etc.), it's a load of fun, especially if you're playing in a squad. I always have a blast playing with the lads in the OC3D Discord.Quote

We had the best game of our PUBG careers last night, proper team work, offence/defence real tactics saw all four of us safely to Nandos for that elusive chicken dinner!
