Relic showcases Company of Heroes 3's destruction system

Company of Heroes 3 is due to launch sometime this year on PC, and Relic Entertainment keeps on drip feeding us information on the upcoming WWII RTS. In the studio's latest video, Company of Heroes 3's destruction system has been showcased, giving PC gamers a look at an infantry squad a large building that's occupied by enemy forces.

Company of Heroes 3 takes the series to Italy and North Africa, two warzones that have not been previously visited by the series. The game will feature classic Company of Heroes 1 style gameplay, with a turn-based campaign map that offers gamers a Total War-like viewpoint over the battlefield.

With a new campaign structure and overhauled destruction mechanics, Company of Heroes 3 promises to deliver classic Company of Heroes action while pushing the franchise in a bold new direction. At launch, German, US and British forces have been confirmed as playable in multiplayer.

Relic has been hard at work on Company of Heroes 3 for many years, and the game is currently due to launch this year on PC. Company of Heroes 3 uses Relic's Essence Engine 5, the latest iteration of Relic's proprietary strategy game technology. Currently, the game has no firm release date, though it has been confirmed that the game will be coming to PC through Steam.

So excited for this game. Hopefully they don't have heavy limitations for modern systems like 2 did.Quote
