Project Cars 3 is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 this Summer

Codemasters and Slightly Mad Studios have announced that Project Cars 3 will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this summer, bringing with it new features, a rebuilt career mode and an extensive vehicle upgrade system.

Community events proved popular amongst the Project Cars fanbase, but Slightly Mad Studios feel that those events were limited in scope. With Project Cars 3, Slightly Mad plans to offer new multiplayer content in the form of “Rivals mode”, which will offer daily, weekly and monthly challenges, which will generate XP and “Rivals Coins”. These modes are designed to help encourage participation in community events, and allow more players to feel rewarded for taking part.

So far, Vehicle upgrades have been very limited within the Project Cars series, but with this new release, gamers will be able to customise the vehicle performance through tuning and upgrades. Racers will be able to upgrade their engines, exhausts, suspension systems and more, adding another new dimension to the Project Cars experience.

At this time, Slightly Mad Studios has not confirmed Project Cars 3’s release date, or which platform the game will release on for PC. Some websites have reported that Project Cars 3 will release on Steam, though we have not been able to confirm this through a primary source.

When it comes to new content, we already know that Project Cars 3 will feature at least two new tracks, including the Shanghai Stree Circuit and Sau Paulo’s Interlagos Circuit.

More information about Project Cars 3 is due to be revealed at a later date. Below is Project Cars 3’s first trailer. Right now, Project Cars 2 is available with an 84% discount on Steam, making the game £7.19.
