Red Dead Redemption PC announcements leaks

A PC version of Red Dead Redemption has been revealed through the PlayStation Network?

Rockstar Games has officially revealed a PC version of Red Dead Redemption through an updated PlayStation Network game listing. Yes, this reveal was accidental, but it confirms that Rockstar’s Remastered classic could be coming to PC at any time.

Unlike Red Dead Redemption 2, the first game was only released on consoles. PC gamers have never been able to enjoy the original, with console emulation being the only way to play the title on a gaming PC. Soon, PC gamers will finally be able to enjoy Rockstar’s western epic. Better still, the game will feature PC-only enhancements.

For starters, the PC version will support higher resolutions and framerates. Multi-monitor support will also be available. On consoles, Red Dead Redemption already uses AMD’s FSR 2 upscalers. As such, we expect the game’s PC version to support all modern upscaling technologies.

Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation — now on PC for the first time ever.

When federal agents threaten his family, former outlaw John Marston is forced to hunt down the gang of criminals he once called friends. Experience Marston’s journey across the sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico as he fights to bury his blood-stained past in the critically acclaimed predecessor to the 2018 blockbuster, Red Dead Redemption 2. Also included is Undead Nightmare, the iconic horror story that transforms the world of Red Dead Redemption into an apocalyptic fight for survival against a zombie horde.

Featuring the complete single-player experiences of both games, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition, Red Dead Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound.

At launch, Red Dead Redemption Remastered should feature all of the content from the game’s original “Game of the Year Edition”. This includes the game’s “Undead Nightmare” standalone expansion. PC gamers will benefit from all changes to the 2023 console Remasters, and more upgrades. Hopefully, Rockstart will officially reveal this remaster soon.
