Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting Nvidia RTX support

Nvidia has just confirmed that they are working with Rockstar Games to add DLSS support to Red Dead Redemption 2, one of the most popular games of the last console generation.

Even today, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a demanding PC title, especially if gamers are targeting high resolutions. With DLSS, Nvidia hopes to enable higher resolution and higher framerate experiences for their Geforce RTX users, making 4K 60 FPS gameplay more accessible, and 4K 120Hz framerates possible for those with higher-end RTX hardware.

Sadly, Nvidia has not revealed when its DLSS technology will be coming to Red Dead Redemption 2, and given Nvidia’s track record with these announcements, it could take months before we see DLSS added to the game. It took Nvidia over three months to add DLSS to Call of Duty Warzone after their CES 2021 announcement. Hopefully, this means that DLSS will be coming to Red Dead Redemption 2 this summer.
