Resident Evil 3’s remake is getting released next April

On April 3rd 2020, Resident Evil 3 will be resurrected in the form of a remake, bringing the game to Capcom’s RE Engine in a similar manner to 2019’s Resident Evil 2 Remake.

The game will arrive on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the PC version arriving via Steam. Capcom has also confirmed that Project: REsistance will release as Resident Evil 3’s multiplayer mode, and not as a standalone game. This means that Resident Evil 3 players will get to re-experience Resident Evil 3’s story and play the games replayable multiplayer mode afterwards.

Resident Evil Resistance will be a 4 vs 1 co-op multiplayer mode, where four players must work together to survive and outsmart a player-controlled villain.

Resident Evil 3’s remake will look and play a lot like this year’s Resident Evil 2 remake, giving Resident Evil 3’s remake a camera system, controls, and visuals that are unlike the original. While the game’s story and setting will be the same, expect the game to play very differently to its original incarnation.
