Resident Evil 4's HD Project Version 1.0 is now available online
It's finally here. Resident Evil 4's HD Project is now available to download, a fan made remaster of Resident Evil 4 that enhances the game's visuals, adds new HD textures/movie files to the game, upgraded lighting and multiple bug fixes.
Resident Evil 4 has recieved several ports over the years, and one of the aims for the game's HD Project on PC is to re-enable effects from the game's original GameCube and Wii versions, such as the game's original Depth of Field (DoF) blur effect. Additionally, new camera FoV options allow PC gamers to adjust the game's camera view based on their preferences. Beyond that, keyboard button prompts will not be properly displayed within the game.
Visually, Resident Evil 4's HD Project overhauls many of the models and textures within the game, delivering major graphical enhancements to the game. Many of the textures have been recreated using the real-world artwork and objects that inspired them, allowing Resident Evil 4's new textures to retain the same artistic intent as their original counterparts, albeit with more detail.
Right now, Resident Evil 4's HD Project is a must download for Resident Evil fans on PC, as this fan-made remaster should now be considered as the best way to play Resident Evil 4 on PC.
