Rumour has it that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will soon be announced for PC and PS5Â
Rumour has it that Square Enix plans to announce Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s PC and PS5 versions simultaneously and that both versions will be announced soon.Â
It is well known that Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s PS4 exclusivity will end in April 2021, one year after the game’s initial release. This end of PS4 exclusivity will allow Square Enix to release the game on more platforms, allowing the game to be updated for next-generation systems with enhanced visuals and support for higher resolutions/framerates.Â
This information comes through KatharsisT, a well-known leaker on Resetera, who has stated that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be coming to PC and PlayStation 5 this year. No mention was made of Xbox One or Xbox Series consoles.Â
At this time, it is unknown how Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be updated for next-generation consoles and PC, whether it be a simple upgrade to the game’s framerate, resolution and texture detail, or a broader set of upgrades that will include details like Ray Tracing.Â
