PRESS RELEASE

Assassin's Creed dev thinks industry is dropping 60 fps standard

Samsung Gaming Bundle

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. announced today a bundle deal with Assassin's Creed developer Ubisoft, which will include a download of Assassin's Creed Unity with the purchase of the Samsung U28D590D (UD590) monitor or the Samsung 850 PRO solid state drive (SSD). The UD590 is an optimal monitor for PC gaming, with an ultra-high definition screen, one millisecond response rate and one billion color gamut, while the award-winning 850 PRO SSD offers the lag-free performance and blazing-fast load times gamers need. Paired with Assassin's Creed Unity, these products offer gamers the ultimate gaming package.

Samsung Gaming Bundle

"Our monitors create a one-of-a-kind, immersive gaming experience and our SSDs ensure quick load times and robust performance for drastically improved gameplay," said Ron Gazzola, vice president of marketing at Samsung Electronics America. "The UD590 premiere monitor and the 850 PRO SSD will bring Assassin's Creed Unity to life and allow players to experience the game in a completely new way. We're happy to be providing this extremely popular offering to our customers."

UHD Display and Rapid Response Time Brings Games to Life

The UD590's stunning 4K screen offers the ultimate visual experience for game enthusiasts, with four times the resolution and pixels of Full HD displays (3840x2160). The 28-inch screen has eight million pixels to create the clearest and most detailed picture ever. Furthermore, the monitor includes a UHD upscale feature, which converts low resolution content to UHD level picture quality. The result is a stunning, unmatched viewing experience.

The UD590 supports one billion colors, which is 64 times more colors offered by conventional monitors, displaying images in lifelike quality. With one millisecond response time, users can enjoy smooth action in even the fastest moving scenes.

The drive's superior multi-tasking capabilities make choppy or slow performance during extended gameplay a thing of the past. With the Samsung 850 PRO SSD, gamers can spend more time playing and less time waiting. Powered by Samsung's breakthrough V-NAND technology, the drive offers the highest level of performance among SSDs using the SATA III (6Gb/s) interface.

The Assassins Creed Unity download will be available for the following Samsung 850 PRO SSD capacities: 256 gigabyte (GB), 512GB and 1 terabyte (TB).

They are bundling more and more games with everything and then claim it's free. How about instead of drowning us in 'free' stuff they lower the prices a little and start advertising their products with the features their products offer and not with the games they come with. I want to buy PC parts, not Ubisoft games.Quote

Nah. I just think gamebundles aren't any good for the consumer and have got nothing to do with proper competition.Quote
