Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance now has a free demo on Steam

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance now has a HUGE demo for newcomers

Atlus has just released a massive demo for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance on PC and PlayStation 5, allowing newcomers to the series to play tonnes of content before purchasing the full game. This new demo is available on PC through Steam. On PlayStation, this demo is available on the PlayStation Store.

This demo contains the entire opening of the game. It includes a choice between two story paths, four bosses, and up to 20 side quests. Players of the demo will be able to move to the full game seamlessly, allowing them to continue their progress.

The release of this demo makes Atlus’ Shim Megami Tensei game much more accessible and allows PCs to see how well the game runs on their systems before committing to a full purchase. Thankfully, this game is easy to run on PC, with the game’s recommended GPUs being Nvidia’s GTX 960 and AMD’s R9 380. Note that both of these GPUs are more than 9 years old. These GPUs target 1080p 60 FPS gameplay.

SMT V has been available on PC since June, following several years of exclusivity on Nintendo’s Switch console. The game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, and is certainly worth trying out if you like JRPGs.
