Sony will soon be adding PS4 games to PlayStation Now

Sony will soon be adding PS4 games to PlayStation Now, allowing PS4 games to be streamed to PC and PS4. Right now Sony has not detailed exactly which games will be added to the service, though it is likely that this new service will include several PS4 exclusive titles.

This will allow PS4 games to be played by those without a PS4 console, giving PC gamers a great chance to catch up on many of Sony's platform exclusive titles. At this time it is unknown if the addition of PS4 titles will change the price of Sony's PlayStation Now subscription or if it will just be an update to the service to include these new titles.

As many of you know, PlayStation Now lets you stream hundreds of PS3 games — currently 483 to be exact — to your PS4 and Windows PC.

We’re excited to announce that PS Now’s catalog is set to grow even further, as we’ll be expanding to include a new platform: PlayStation 4 games. All of the games in the service, including PS4 games, will be included with a single PS Now subscription. We’ll share more information as we get closer to launch, so stay tuned.

In the next few weeks we’ll kick off a private test with PS4 games on PS Now. If you’re an active PS Now subscriber, keep an eye on your email in case you get an invitation.

If you’re new to PS Now, the subscription service offers access to a large and ever-expanding library of games. Since PS Now utilizes our cloud streaming technology, you can access the entire catalog of games, select one, and start playing quickly without needing to wait for downloads.

Also, PS Now uses cloud saves, letting you start a game on PS4 and continue playing on another PS4 or even a Windows PC (or vice versa).

Sony will soon be adding PS4 games to PlayStation Now

Right now some PlayStation Now subscribers are currently being asked to test the service's new PS4 game streaming services, which will come with cloud saves which will allow players to pick up and play their games across multiple consoles or PCs on a single account.

I'd rather just play on my PS4? Why bother streaming? If someone could help me understand that I'd appreciate it. Currently I don't see the pointQuote

im drawing a blank too, if you have a pc why not just buy the games on pc as there cheaper on pc for the bulk of them and play them on pc without the latency.Quote

A couple of scenarios - my PS3 is in the living room so if I'm playing a game and the missus wants to watch something... well I lose that argument every time so I could go play on my PC.

Secondly - PS exclusive titles. I bought Forza Horizons on Xbox and play on my PC as that's where the steering wheel etc is set up. Also - I don't own an Xbone yet.

It also should allow you to play against a larger player base.

Would it be easier and more convenient to play on your PS4? Definitely.Quote

Im wondering why your saying it lets you play on a bigger playerbase, streaming to the pc wouldnt allow you to connect to pc multiplayer, you would still be on the ps network would you not.Quote

Jesus Christ, really? Not everybody has a PS4. Some PC gamers would like to play some PS4 exclusives.Quote
