Space Marine 2 is getting a free 4K graphics update on PC

Space Marine 2 is getting new content and a free graphics update this month

Saber Interactive has issued its September Community Update for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2. The game has proven to be hugely successful, and this month, the studio plans to improve it even further with new updates. For starters, a new map for Operations Mode will be released this month. Beyond that, new customisation options will soon arrive for the game.

For PC gamers, a graphics update will soon be released for Space Marine 2. This update will add a free 4K texture pack to the game, making the game more detailed than before. This is great news for gamers who use high-resolution screens, assuming they have a GPU with a lot of spare VRAM to tap into. Last month, the game also received support for ultrawide screen resolutions on PC.

This month, a new Kadaku map will become available within Operations mode. This map is set towards the end of the Tyranid invasion of Kadaku, with the planet’s biomass being made into huge capillary towers. These towers will transport the planet’s organic material to Tyranid Hive ships, allowing them to create more Tyranids.

The objective of this new map is simple: help Cadian forces destroy these towers. This will prevent the Tryanids from taking the planet’s biomass, slowing down the alien threat.

The new map for Operations mode, located on Planet Kadaku, will arrive in October. Here’s your brief:

The Tyranid invasion of Kadaku is ending. The planet’s organic material is being transformed into biomass, and Tyranid Capillary Towers stretch high into the skies above, where the Hive Ships wait to taste their victory.
The Cadian forces have made a valiant attempt to push back against the Tyranids. A team of Space Marines arrives on Kadaku with a simple mission: help the Cadians destroy the towers. The Tyranids may win the planet, but the Imperium will make it as painful as possible for them.
