Spotify is increasing its pricing for all subscription tiers in the UK and Europe
Spotify is increasing its pricing for almost all subscription tiers in the UK and Europe
US customers will only see increased pricing for Spotify’s Family tier, which will see its cost increase from $14.99 to $15.99. In the UK and Europe, pricing adjustments will be seen in the company’s Student, Duo and Family packages. Spotify has justified these changes by stating that it will help the company continue delivering “new content and features”. The company’s individual subscription tier should maintain its £9.99 pricing in the UK.Â
This price increase announcement comes at the same time as Daniel Ek’s, Spotify’s Founder, his plan to buy Arsenal, the world-famous English football team, alongside several Arsenal veterans. While this is not directly related to Spotify’s price increase, it is interesting to see this announcement come at the same time as a major purchase by the company’s founder.Â
