Over 1 million copies of STALKER 2 have been sold
GSC Game World has confirmed that they have sold over 1 million copies of STALKER 2 across PC and Xbox. This doesn’t include the number of gamers who are playing the STALKER 2 through Xbox’s Game Pass service.
STALKER 2 is currently Steam’s top-selling game, and it has already reached a concurrent player count of over 100,000. Despite its buggy nature, the game currently has a “Very Positive” review rating on Steam. PC gamers love STALKER 2 and its unusual gameplay style.
No wonder it feels a bit crowdy in the Zone. A million copies were sold, and many more stalkers joined the artifact hunt with Game Pass.
This is just the start of our unforgettable adventure. The Heart of Chornobyl emanates stronger with each of us
With gratitude as deep as the X-Labs network, we want to say: Thank You, stalkers!
The success of STALKER is a clear sign that gamers want unique experiences that stand outside of gaming norms. 2024’s most successful games have been from long-dormant or entirely new IPs, with STALKER 2, Space Marine 2, and Black Myth Wukong being major examples of this. Contrast this with Ubisoft, who are having difficulty selling their latest AAA franchise sequels and IP tie-in games.
STALKER 2 is a huge success, and the game frankly deserves it. The game is far from perfect, but it offers something that no other game can. In time, the game should get even better with updates, mod support, and multiplayer support. Today is a good day to be a STALKER fan.
