Steam Adds an FPS Counter

With the latest Steam Client Beta users can track their FPS in-game without the need for 3rd party apps like FRAPs. This feature has been a much requested feature on steam for year and will now allow users to easily check their framerates and optimise their game settings without anything but the Steam Client and their games.

To download the Steam Client Beta you need to enter Steam's settings menu and change your beta precipitation to "Steam Beta Update" from "None", the Steam client will then Update. After the update in the Settings menu under "In-Game" there will now he a tick box for "Show In-Game Frame/sec (FPS)", tick this box and you are ready to go.

Hopefully in the Future steam will add a frametate recording tool to steam for easy benchmarking, but until then we will still have to use FRAPS.
