Steam Deck now has over 8,000 Playable or Verified Games
Valve’s Steam Deck can now play more games than Sony’s PS3 and PS4 combined
Valve’s Steam Deck gaming handheld is a revolutionary device, offering gamers the ability to play PC games on the go on a device that is considerably more powerful than Nintendo’s Switch console.Â
Recently, Valve’s Steam Deck system officially passed the 8,000 games mark, with 2988 Steam games being listed as “Verified” and a further 5032 being listed as “Playable”. That’s 8,020 games in total, which is more games than Sony’s PS3 (2561 games) and PS4 (3282 games and counting) consoles combined.
Some of the latest additions to Steam Deck’s “Verified” and “Playable” categories include Atomic Heart, Cyberpunk 2077, Darkest Dungeon, Octopath Traveller II, and Resident Evil 3. Valve has also released a list of Steam Deck’s most played games for February, with Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, Persona 5 Royal, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns being included on the list.
It is worth noting that Valve’s 8,020 Verified or Playable games only include titles that are available on the Steam Storefront, and the reality is that the Steam Deck can support many more games though emulation, or though 3rd party PC games storefronts like the Epic Games Store, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, and the EA App.
