Steam update adds DLC info into the Game Library

The Latest Steam Beta update has just added DLC info into your Game Library, a feature which will be very helpful in keeping track on which DLC you own and do not own for your Steam games.

This will be very helpful to the fans of games which are very DLC heavy, such as Civilization, Borderlands and Crusader Kings where big fans of the game would like to know which DLC they have or require. Here is a picture of the library view below, courtesy of pcgamer.

Steam update adds DLC info into the Game Library

The list will tell you chich DLC you own and which pieces of DLC is installed, here you will also be able to enable and disable the DLC you want to be available by using the "Manage DLC" button.  Perhaps you want to disable some of the extra units you dislike in Total War, or maybe deactivate some of your unwanted DLC in Crusader Kings.

This update shows that Valve has continued to listen to Steams users and have finally started to make a real effort to improve Steam to maintain it's lead over competitors like Origin or Uplay. The recent changes to Steam's UI, the addition of In-Home Streaming, Music and even the Steam Curator lists give Steam a larger amount of functionality over competing programs. Let's hope Valve continues to make positive progress in this area.

Pretty neat. I feel like its just a way for them to make more money, by putting the DLCs in your face no matter where you are.. tempts you to buy them.Quote
