System Shock’s remake now has a free “final demo” on PC

Nightdive Studios is preparing to release their remake of System Shock this summer and prepare gamers for this modern remake; the company has created a free demo for the remake on PC, offering gamers a finalised section of the full game.

This demo will be available for free on Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store, costing £31.99 in the UK across all three storefronts. This summer, System Shock’s remake will also be available on all of these platforms.

System Shock’s free demo is 1.4GB in size and is DRM-free. Being a feature-complete section of the game, this demo will showcase exactly what the full retail version of System Shock’s remake will look/play like. At this time, System Shock’s 2021 remake has no firm release date outside of a vague “Summer 2021” timeframe.

PC gamers can download System Shock’s free PC demo on Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store.

We’ve got a very special update this month – as you are aware we’re releasing our final demo and opening pre-orders on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store which should be available as you read this. This is a major milestone in our development of System Shock and once again we’d like to thank you for your continued patience and support while we diligently create the experience you originally backed all those years ago.

Our development road was bumpy (to say the least) – but ultimately what you’re playing is the vision and experience we set out to create and the adversity and challenges we’ve faced along the way has only improved the final game. The team has evolved and grown considerably and we hope that the end product will meet your expectations. With all that said we are planning on a late Summer 2021 release date.
