Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final season to be completed by the series creator’s company
Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final season to be completed by Skybound Games
Skybound Entertainment is best known for creating their long-running “The Walking Dead” comic series, making them the perfect developers to complete Telltale’s work. Beyond that, Skybound Games plans to take on former Telltale developers to complete the project, with the studio stating that they want to “finish the story in a way the fans deserve”.Â
Last month, Telltale Games was forced to lay off the majority of the developer’s staff, forcing future projects like The Wolf Among Us 2 and a game based on Netflix’ Stranger Things IP to be cancelled. Â
Below is Skybounds full statement regarding their plans to complete season 4/”The Final Season” of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, including their plans to work with former Telltale developers.Â
Creator Robert Kirkman announced during The Walking Dead New York Comic Con 2018 panel that Skybound will be taking on the rest of Telltaleâs TWD game following their plans to close last month. âWeâve successfully negotiated with Telltale Games for our company Skybound to come in and see Season 4 of the Telltale game to completion,â Kirkman announced to the crowd. âWe canât lose Andrew Lincoln and Clementine in the same year.â
