The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is now available on PC

Gamers can now play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered!

The rumours were true. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is now available, updating the classic RPG with modern visuals, improved gameplay, and more.

Oblivion Remastered is now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. On PC, the game is now available on Steam, the Xbox Store, and through Game Pass. Note that no discount will be available for owners of the original Oblivion on Steam. The game costs £49.99 on Steam

This remaster is a collaboration between Bethesda Game Studios and Virtuos Software. While the original game acts as the core of this remaster, Oblivion Remastered is an Unreal Engine 5 game. As such, it takes advantage of the engine’s advanced feature set to deliver high-quality visuals. All assets have been recreated for this remaster, and new audio has been added to the game to give each race a distinct sound. Thankfully, the new voice acting is in line with the game’s original dialogue, which means that this game still sounds like Oblivion.

Below, we have an in-depth video describing how this remaster was made and what changes have been made to the game. Expect this remaster to both look and play better than the original. If you want to play a modern Elder Scrolls game that isn’t Skyrim, this remaster may be the game for you.
