The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered Screenshots Leak

Screenshots for The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered have leaked

It looks like the rumours were true. Bethesda has been working on a remastered version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Screenshots of the game have leaked through Virtuous’ website, and have been uploaded to Reddit and elsewhere on the internet.

Currently, Microsoft and Bethesda have not commented on the leak. That said, it seems clear that a remake is coming, and rumour has it that it will be released soon.

Below are some comparison shots that compare the original version of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and its upcoming remake. Simply put, there is a night and day difference between the two games’ visuals. The new version is much more detailed, so much so that it is hard to call this a “Remaster”. This is a complete visual overhaul of the game, not a high resolution version of the original.

Rumours about this remaster stated that Oblivion was being remade using Unreal Engine 5. While we cannot confirm this, a shift to Unreal Engine 5 would explain the graphical quality of this remaster.

If recent rumours are to be believed, this remaster of Oblivion could be released as early as next week. If that is the case, we can expect to hear more about this game soon.
